Term Two is all about learning to present factual information and beginning to develop the skills of persuasion. We've lots more fun ahead! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Topic: Inform |
Skills Focus: Communicate facts in an engaging manner |
Choose a topic related to sustainability, geography, science or environment and present an information report to the class focusing on the communication of factual information.
To assist you with your planning we will be looking more closely at the structure and language of information reports in class. It's going to be fun. How you bring the information to life though will be up to you. I can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Topic: Persuade |
Skills Focus: Power words and techniques |
Select from a range of hand-picked debate topics to present an argument persuading the audience of a particular viewpoint.
Preparation activities to include inspiring speeches from Youtube and TedEx. Roster to be drawn to ensure variety in the number of topics presented on any particular Friday lesson.
Listening response cards to be used by audience.
