Interesting Reading and Reference Materials

Ever watched your child perform a mathematical calculation and thought 'That's not how I did it when I went to school'? Me too.
Maths for Mums and Dads, by Rob Eastaway and Mike Askew, is a great book for parents curious about how, and why, children appear to use different techniques in the modern classroom, compared to those tried and trusted methods we grew up with. The book focuses on practical advice and touches on some of the research behind the change. A helpful reference for primary parents.
